Native to Central America, Velutina exhibits velvety, olive-green foliage then turns a reddish color during inflourescence, first as a light blush which eventually becomes a deep red. The bloom is short in size and comes from the inside center of the plant and will present purple flowers. Velutina has a brown coloring at its base, which is normal for this species.
Note: We tint this plant during order processing with a wild rose color that is safe for the plant to imitate its natural bloom (please advise if you do NOT want us to do so)
