Native to Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic, this variety of capitata can grow to a very large size. As the name implies, its foliage is mostly maroon in color (with occasional green blades). The greater its exposure to light, the deeper the maroon color turns. Capitata Maroon is fast growing and propagates very well. This plant is great as a tall centerpiece for arrangements, and it looks beautiful just standing on its own.
