Native to South America, this plant is similar to the Duratii because of its shape and fragrant flowers. Its foliage consists of a handful of stiff, narrow leaves that curve upwards along their edges and are a light green color. When seen from above, it is almost shaped like a star. During bloom, a long spike forms taller than the plant itself, off of which emerge magenta flowers with white petals having a lilac scent. Streptocarpa enjoys warm, bright surroundings.
