The name of this plant comes from the Latin word for “curved” or “with many curves in it”, which is exactly what happens to each of its leaves as they grow outward. Although they tend to cup around the core of the plant at the base. Flexuosa’s leaves are very stiff and have a strong ability to absorb water, which aids this tillandsia in withstanding dryer environments. The spike on this plant can be very long and produces dark pink flowers.
