Native to Central America, this variety of Albida is quite an eye-catching specimen! The large amount of trichomes result in its distinct, very light green to silvery-white foliage. Each of its thin, triangular leaves is part of the Albida’s growth process in that it increases the height of this plant. New leaves sprout out of the top then eventually fold outward from the center creating another layer above the rest. This pattern continues with each new leaf folding in a clockwise fashion, spiraling their way upward. The end result looks like a series of alternating (soft) propeller blades that hold their form.
